Ethen Allen Carr was born on November 24, 1961, in Landsthul, Germany to his military father, MSgt. Dale Carr and Mrs. Inge Kremb Carr. He and his family lived several places with military movement and ultimately settled in the Tupelo area in 1980 when his father and mother accepted the call to be the pastor family at Oak Ridge Christian Church. Like his patriotic father, Ethen joined the U.S. Army serving stateside. Ethen worked as a truck driver, then settled into a career as a parts man in the warehouse at Thompson Equipment Company where he spent many years until becoming disabled. An outdoorsman, Ethen was an avid fisherman and would often fish into the night enjoying God’s creation. He loved tinkering and enjoyed working on cars – before the computer age. Ethen was a member of Oak Ridge Christian Church.
