Funeral services for Estelle Zinsmeister, 88, of Cullman, will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Berlin Cemetery, Dr. Mack Finney and Rev. John Bussman officiating.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Zinsmeister passed away Tuesday, October 8, at Hanceville Nursing Home & Rehab. She was born January 3, 1925 to parents William Odes and Katie Lou Lee. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 71 years, Edward Zinsmeister; a grandson; three sisters, and one brother.
Survivors include four children, Jean (Wheeler) Daniel, H.O. “Buck” (Roberta) Zinsmeister, Patrecia (Dan) Jones, and Debra (Dan) Gillam; 14 grandchildren, Craig (Cindi) Daniel, Darion (Kristi) Daniel, Gina Westmoreland, Cheri (Darrin) Jones, Clark Zinsmeister, Jason (Jennifer) Zinsmeister, Brandy (Sandjeev) Hasabnis, Tammy Kelley, Wendy (Jack) Keller, Jeremy Jones, Leesa Manord, Jayme (Danny) Simms, Daniel Gillam, and Donnie Newman; 24 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Comfort Care Hospice.
Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
