Estella Irene Stout Gray was born March 3, 1927 in Chester County, TN the daughter of the late Jess and Anna Mai Granthem Stout.
She was united in marriage to John D. Gray on February 25,1946. Mr. Gray preceded her in death on April 20, 1996.
Mrs. Gray had lived in McNairy County since the age of 19. She worked at Hosiery Mill Factory and Mitchell’s Shirt Factory both in Corinth, MS. She was a member of Liberty Church of Christ in Michie. In her later years, she also attended Acton Church of Christ.
She loved her famiy and caring for animals. She enjoyed caring for her beautiful flowers in her yard and sewing when she was able. She could draw just about anything and was very good at it.
Mrs. Gray departed this life on June 6, 2019 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 92 Years, 3 Months, 3 Days. She is survived by four daughters, Louise Mulder and husband Gene of Michie, TN, Gearldine McGee of Counce, TN, Francis Stiles and husband Friday of Corinth, MS, Marilyn Smith and husband Larry of Bethel Springs, TN; two sons, Larry Gene Gray of Michie, TN, Wilburn Gray of Corinth, MS; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by a son, Roy Gene Gray; son-in-law, Ray McGee; a daughter-in-law, Betty Gray; a sister, Magalene Fowler; three brothers, Hulbert, Gilbert and, Wilford Stout.
