Esta Lee Lamberth – Obituary

esta-lamberth-1474293654 of Pocahontas, TN was born February 8, 1925 in McNairy County, TN, the daughter of the late John Earl and Dollie Russell Trainum. She was united in marriage to Abe Rubel Lamberth on December 26, 1942. Mr. Lamberth preceded her in death on October 8, 1998 She was a member of Pocahontas Church of Christ. Mrs. Lamberth was active in the PTA Home Demonstration Club and was a historian of Pocahontas. She has worked at Miller’s clothing store, King’s Antiques, Watkins, Avon, and was the secretary at Oak Grove Cemetery for many years. She had published poems and had written many songs. She loved to quilt and study history, especially of Pocahontas. Mrs. Lamberth departed this life on September 18, 2016 in Whiteville, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 7 Months, 10 Days.

She is survived by her children: Genetia Burgess and husband Harold of Middleton, TN, Brenda Hazelwood and husband Carl of Bolivar, TN, Larry Lamberth and wife Charlotte of Middleton, TN, Kennie Lamberth and wife Gina of Selmer, TN; three sisters: Lila Burcham, Bonnie Williams ,and Elaine Capshaw; a brother, Jerry Trainum; 11 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Lamberth was preceded in death by a son, Keenan Wayne Lamberth; a sister, Billie Bullard; and a brother, John Trainum.
