Funeral for Essie Montgomery, 82, of Danville will be Monday, May 30, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Rev. Francis Proctor officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Montgomery died Friday, May 27, 2016, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born, Oct. 29, 1933, to Newt Hill and Ida Miller Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Montgomery; her parents; four brothers, Felton Hill, Alton Hill, Johnnie Hill and R. B. Hill; two sisters, Lois Kelsoe and Eloise Kelsoe.
Survivors include three sons, Sammy (Marilyn) Montgomery, Larry Montgomery and Mike (Karen)Montgomery; two sisters, Hazel Kelsoe and Tollesse Criss; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
