Essie G. Curtis, 99, died Friday, December 11, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born June 5, 1916 to Tom and Berthie Warren Gist. She was formerly in the banking business. She was a member of Friendship Methodist Church in Peppertown. She enjoyed crocheting.
Grave-Side Services will be at 3:00 p. m. Monday , Dec. 14, 2015, at Union Grove Cemetery with Bro. Darrell Sanderson officiating. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one nephew, Tommy Gist; two nieces, Judy Riley and Barbara Knight; cousin, Sue Trimble.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Curtis, who died in 1990; one son, Jimmy Curtis; five brothers, Quinnon, Ray, Grady, Howard, and Billy Gist.
Visitation will be from 1:30 until 2:30 Monday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
