Essie Ann Duncan Horton of Huntsville, AL passed away Friday, July 1, 2022, surrounded by family and friends. She was 81 years old.
Essie was born in Cheraw, S.C. to Durwood Duncan and Cleo Lawson Duncan on March 23, 1941. She was preceded in death by her younger sister, Sylvia Juanita Duncan Richardson, and her parents, Durwood and Cleo Duncan. She is survived by her daughter, Michele Goodson, of Huntsville, AL; granddaughter, Kimberlee McQueen of Nashville, TN; and her nephew, Timothy Richardson of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by a host of family and friends. Essie lived her life to the fullest doing the things she enjoyed. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.
No celebration of life service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones when the service is scheduled.
