Lauderdale Sheriff Rick Singleton said Hamilton was taken into custody around 6pm Wednesday, October 29.
Singleton said the Hamilton wrecked the truck on Tennessee 227 east of Loretto when the truck left the roadway in a curve. Hamilton was flown from the scene to an area hospital. No one else was injured in the accident.
LAUDERDALE COUNTY-The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office has issued an alert concerning the escape of an inmate on Wednesday, October 28:
“AARON HEATH HAMILTON
W/M 5’7″ / 150 lb / Bro hair / Blue eyes
Wearing blue jeans and a blue Lauderdale Co. jail shirt
Subject lives in Killen but could be anywhere in the Shoals area.
Inmate stole a Lauderdale County Maintenance truck and left east bound out of downtown Florence. 2003 RED FORD F150 with Laud Co written on the door. Any contact with this subject or any sighting of a Red Lauderdale County Maintenance truck please call 911 immediately.”
