Eroy (Papa) McCafferty, 90 , of Decatur, died Thursday, August 20, 2015. Funeral will be August , 24, 2015, 1:00 p .m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Robert Newman officiating. Visitation will be from 11a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Hurricane Cemetery.
Eroy McCafferty , was born May 10, 1925 in Alabama, to George McCafferty and Dessie Howard McCafferty. He is survived by one daughter Janet Smith, (Paul), seven step-daughters , Mae Dean Hall, (Walter), Patsy Posey, Patricia Rotton (Larry), Linda Lee (Steve), Gail Quasebarth (Bill), Anita Borden, Betty Hughes (Rick), One sister Betty Hammond, Grassy, AL, Janeice Newbern, Florence, AL, eighteen grandchildren and twenty five Great-Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
