Ernestine Virginia Hays, age 81, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021, at her home in Reagan. Ms. Hays was born December 16, 1939, in Henderson County, to the late Ernest Teague and Millie Garner Teague. She was a retired factory worker from Leroy Somer, and a member of Union Hill MB Church. She loved working in her garden and flowers, and was always willing to help others in the community.
Ms. Hays is survived by her son Jeff Hays; two daughters, Teresa Parker and Lisa Hays; grandchildren, Kyle Hays and Trent Parker; a great-grandchild, Austen Parker; a sister, Willie Mae Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Shorett.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, January 17 , 1:00-5:00 p.m., at Pafford Funeral Home, and Monday, January 18, 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Union Hill Church. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, January 18, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
