Mrs. Ernestine Peters, age 62 of Scottsboro, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Highland Medical Center.
Mrs. Peters is survived by her husband Raymond Alexander Smith; step-children Daniel (Carmen) Jenkins, and Cassie Jenkins; 3 step-grandchildren; mother-in-law Helen (Eddie) Smith, sister-in-laws Clo (Greg) Wright, and Debbie Peters; nephews Tommy Peters Jr., Nathan Ray Peters, Charles Wayne Peters, Justin Matthew Peters, and Justan Smith; nieces Rachal Peters (Phillip) Cribbs, and Malori Smith; 2 great nieces, 2 great nephews and 1 great great nephew; numerous cousins, family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents L. G. and Mattie Sue Romine Peters; brothers Tommy Ray Peters
and David Wayne Peters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 17, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with Brother Andrea Massengil officiating. The family will receive friends and loved ones at 12:00 pm till the time of service, and burial will follow at Solitude Baptist Church Cemetery.
Escorting Mrs. Peters to her final resting place the pallbearers will include Greg Wright, Howard Hill, Robert Cullins, Daniel Jenkins, Justan Smith, and Otis Steger. Honorary pallbearers will include cousins and nephews. Also flower girls including nieces, cousins, and friends.
