Ms. Ernestine Kirkland Martin, age 88, of Guntersville, passed away Friday June 10, 2022 at Barfield Healthcare.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 1-2pm at Carr Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2pm with burial at Rhoden Cemetery.
Ernestine was a member of Grant Church of Christ. She could play the guitar, mandolin, and piano by ear. She enjoyed many things at an early age in her life; singing, quilting, crocheting, gardening, and planting flowers was some of many favorites of hers. The family would like to personally acknowledge and thank the Guntersville Senior Center for their many wonderful programs and activities provided to the senior community. Ernestine greatly enjoyed her weekly fellowship and activities with her friends at the Senior Center of Guntersville.
Ms. Martin is survived by her family, son, Larry (Cathy) Martin; granddaughter, Angela Martin Kelley; great grandchild, Brynne Martin Kelley.
She was preceded in death by, husband, Jack Martin; parents, Edward and Nettie Kirkland; and infant brother, Royce Kirkland.
