Ernestine Jenkins Pittman, 95, of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 12 p.m. in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Bro. Brady Cooper and Bro. Richard Ryan will be officiating. She was a member of Woodward Avenue Baptist Church.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. She never met a stranger and many people knew her through her work as district manager for World Book Encyclopedias.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ross Pittman; son, James Randy Pittman; grandson, Clinton M. Pittman; mother, Laura Kiddy Smith and father, Elbert M. Jenkins; son-in-law, Glenn Weekley; sister, Maxine Bingham.
She is survived by her son, Billy Gene Pittman (Mimi); daughters, Cathy Weekley, Linda Pittman, and Ann McCorkle (Tommy); grandchildren, Samuel McDonald, Amy Cooper, Melinda Ryan, Jarrod Weekley, Angela Wilson, Nathan McCorkle, Lori McCorkle, Chandler Askew, and Presley Cantrell;16 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
