Ernest Haryel Conway, age 88, of Sheffield, passed away March 7, 2015. Visitation will be Monday, March 9, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Tuesday, March 10, at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home chapel, with Kenny Barfield officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Conway was a member of Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ. He was retired from Thornton Chrysler Dodge, Florence. Preceding him in death are his parents, Robert M. Conway and Etta Barnes Conway, two brothers, one sister, and grandson, Austen Blake Miller.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Mary Springer Conway, and daughters, Donna Farris Kopff (Dale), Denise Conway Campbell (Chris), and Dottie Conway Miller (Chris). He loved all of his girls but shared a special bond with granddaughter Haley Mashea Green (Kyle), who was more like a daughter. Surviving grandchildren also include Ashley Scott, Leslie Campbell (Jacob), Caroline Fimpel (Deverick), Meredith Miller, and Jordan Miller. Surviving great grandchildren include Hadleigh and Aiden Scott.
Pallbearers will be Troy Conway, David Dobbs, Craig Applegarth, Dannie Maddox, and Tyler, J. T., and Elijah Hudson.
The family would like to thank the nurses of Helen Keller Hospital and Gentiva Home Health: Jada, Robin, Kristie, Jeff, and Kim.
