Our beloved husband, daddy, grandaddy, brother and friend gained his heavenly wings on December 15, 2023, at St. Thomas Midtown, in Nashville, TN, surrounded by his beloved family. Ernie married Brenda Williams Roles, on December 18, 1977. Additional survivors include his children, Michelle (John) Garrich, Raquel Knowles (Jackie) Robertson; Ernie (Stacy) Roles, II, and Jennie (Cam) Roles-Walter; grandchildren, Stephen (Anne-Kathryn) Baugh, Katlin (Rob) Lee, Robert (Sidney) Baugh, Anna Robertson, Tamia Robertson, Ernie (Lexie) Roles, III, Ethan Roles, Sydney Roles, Grayson Walter, and Tripper Walter; great-grandchildren, Weston Lee, Thomas Baugh, Graham Baugh, Camden Baugh, Samuel Baugh, and Landan Roberson; sister, Tammy (Curtis) Painter; brother-in-law, Tommy Wright; and several beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Wright.

A funeral service will be held on his and Brenda’s 46th wedding anniversary, on Monday, December 18, 2023, at 2 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, with Military Honors. Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home.
