Ernest (Bo) Dozier, Jr. died peacefully on February 27, 2023, in Jackson, TN after an extended illness. He was born March 6, 1944, in Nashville, TN to the late Ernest Dozier, Sr. and late Mary Helen Gray Dozier. He was the little brother to his loving sister, Mary Ellen (Tommy) Carney. He grew up in Nashville and attended Cohn HS. After school, he became an electrician. He enjoyed fishing, shooting his pistols and hosting barbeques for his family. He had three daughters, Laura (Kevin) Perkins of Selmer, TN, Mandy (Bryan) Baker of Canton, OH, and Sara (Michael) Burris of Springfield, TN from his previous marriages.
He married Joan Moss in 2008 and gained five more daughters, Christine (Todd) Cannan, of Watertown, NY, Leslie (Jerrell) Davis of Bartlett, TN, Sherri (Brad) Thompson of Memphis, TN, Michelle Moss of Memphis, TN and Sandra Grady of Watertown, NY. He moved back to TN after losing Joanie, the love of his life in 2016, and settled in Selmer, TN living there until his passing.
He leaves behind 31 grandchildren, Andrew, Katey, Hannah, Walter, Baylie, Presley, Beckam, Audrey, Lauren, Hallie, Preston, Nicole (LeRoy), Jamie (Stephanie), Ryan (Tricia), Johnny, Jack RIley, Connor, Miichael, Joshua (Caitlyn), Ashley, Olivia (Ticha), Benjamin, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Julia, Haidon, Jacob, Elijah, Alexandra, and Isabella, 22 great-grandchildren, two devoted nieces, Sandra Carney of Lebanon, TN and Lisa (Ted) Brickenden of Fayetteville, GA, one great-niece, Victoria (Garrett) Bondurant of Atlanta, GA and three great-nephews, Chandler Brickenden of Orlando, FL, Ethan (Katherine) Fesler of Fort Drum, NY, Caleb (Britney) Fesler of Lebanon, TN; and extended family to mourn his passing. He also leaves behind the mothers of his daughters, Faye Clark, Sue Patterson, and Patricia Curtis.
There will be no services per Bo’s request. In lieu of flowers or gifts, you may donate to the charity of your choice.
