Erma Ray Walton – Obituary

Erma Ray Walton, 73, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015, at her home. She was born March 12, 1942, to Thomas Howard and Onnie Quay Wardlaw Brewer. She worked at Crestline and River Oaks furniture companies. She was a Baptist in belief. She was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed yard work. She loved her cat, Dolly.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Castor Buse officiating. Burial will be in the Walton Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Verma Ray Moore (Mike Jones), Deanna Dill (Perrin), and Crystal Williams (Tony), all of Mantachie; one brother, Tommy Brewer of Booneville; two sisters, Dorothy Mayhall (Elvis) of Dorsey and Dimple Garrison (Harold) of Red Bay, AL; one granddaughter, Brandy Holley (Josh); six grandsons, Chad Moore, Anthony Dill (Whitney), Hunter Dill, Collin Jones, Shane Evans, and Shannon Evans; one great-granddaughter, Kallee Ray Moore; and two great-grandsons, Dillan Holley and Reid Holley.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harce Ray Walton; her parents; and four sisters, her twin Verma Mae Brewer, Mittie Taylor, Othell Taylor, and Lavelle Moxley.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, at the funeral home.
