Erma Jean Woods Erma Jean Woods, age 67, a resident of Cisco, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024, at Perry County Nursing Home in Linden, Tennessee.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14th, at 12:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Erma was born on February 4, 1957, in Breckenridge, Texas, the daughter of the late Willy Wally Sanders and the late Lula Montez Sanders. She had a passion for collecting antiques, especially glass figures and seashells, and loved visiting Clear Water Beach. Erma was known for her strong work ethic and servant’s heart, but she also had a playful spirit, often enjoying pranks. She was generous, regularly supporting various charities. Above all, Erma cherished her family, finding joy in taking her children and grandchildren trick-or-treating and preparing her famous white beans, fried potatoes, and duck soup. She will be deeply missed.

Erma is survived by her son, Michael (Arby) Slayman, and daughter, Kimberly (Calan) Woodie; grandchildren, Jayden Carroll, Tyler Woodie, Emma Woodie, Josephine Woodie, and Kai Alexander Robles Slayman; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nina Bishop, and brother, Buddy Sanders.
