Eric Douglas Thomas, 36 went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2015. His battle is over, but his journey has just begun, resting in the presence of the glory of Christ. Doug was a great man, a godly man. He was an incomparable son, husband, father, brother, and uncle to the people he treasured most. He will always be remembered for his selflessness and gentle spirit. He was a kindhearted, gracious soul who genuinely cared for all people. His trademark smile infiltrated hearts and lives on through the smiles of his children. While the depth of our sorrow is vast for a time, we will rejoice in knowing we will see him again soon.
Survivors include his wife, Christina Card Thomas of Fairview, Daughter, Annalee Thomas, Son, Rylan Thomas, his parents, Ricky and JeanetteThomas of Fairview, Brother, Luke (Selena) Thomas of Fairview, great grandmother, Mary Harmon Allen of Fairview, Nephews, Brody Taylor, Colby Taylor, Ryker Thomas, Doc Emmit Thomas, Obie Thomas, all of Fairview, great aunt, Cora Harmon Orrick of Fulton, several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, W.C and Lois Beam, grandfather, Dowdy Thomas, and 1 aunt, Susan Beam Barrett.
Pallbearers will be Joe Davis, Donnie Wood, Austin Johnson, Hank Whitehead, Michael Young, Allen Mayhall.
