Era Lee Butler, 85, of Florence, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, at North Alabama Medical Center. Mrs. Butler was a retired seamstress, and a member of Underwood Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be Friday, February 17, 2023, from 11:00 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Doug Farris and Jerry Phillips.
Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McCoy Butler; daughter, Sally Gilchrist; son, Thomas Lee Butler; mother, Ruth Murphy; father, Bill Murphy; brothers, James, Larry, Joe, and Tommy Murphy; and sister, Becky Jeffries.
She is survived by daughters Darlene Wallace (David) and Katrina May (Greg); son-in-law, Junior Gilchrist; brother, Gene Murphy; sister, Betty Pitt; grandchildren, Alison Butler, Leigh Reynolds (Daniel), Amanda Bolden (Chris), Bradley Wallace (Maegan), Cody May, Ashley Howard (Jake), and Trey May (Courtney); 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Reynolds, Chris Bolden, Bradley Wallace, Trey May, Ethan Reynolds and Grant Reynolds.
