Ephriam Eugene (Gene) Rinks was born April 24, 1933 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late Elmer and Martha (Mattie) Loualla Hunt Rinks. He was united in marriage to Rose Marie Kiddy on February 20, 1981. He was a member of the West Shiloh Baptist Church in Stantonville, TN, Shriners and a 32nd degree Mason Scottish Rite Lodge 338 in Adamsville, TN. Gene had worked for the Counce Paper Mill for over 20 years. He had also worked for Smith Oil and Thomas Oil. Gene enjoyed wood working, word search puzzles and going to Shiloh Park. He departed this life on January 14, 2017 in Stantonville, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 8 Months, 21 Days.

He is survived by his wife Rose Marie Rinks of Stantonville, TN; a son, Odus Stacye Rinks and wife Lisa of Adamsville, TN; five grandchildren: Lani Rinks Price and husband Steven, Courtney Ramirez and husband Carlos, Matthew King, Tyler King and Macey King; two great grandchildren, Addie Carter and Mila Ramirez; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rinks was preceded in death by a half sister, Virble Noe; two brothers, Elmer Rinks Jr. and James Rinks.
