Emmett Washington Holley, Jr was born March 3, 1936 in Booneville, MS the son of the late Emmett Washington Holley, Sr. and Carrie Mae Hester Holley.
He was united in marriage to Wilma Jean Harris on March 25, 1961. Mrs. Holley preceded him in death on May 14, 2021.
He was a member of Gravel Baptist Church. In his younger years, he enjoyed tinkering with cars especially his Mustang whether it was fixing them or keeping them spotless. Many will remember driving by their house and seeing them sitting on the porch waving at whoever came by. He was a hard worker and retired from Brown Shoe Company and Monogram. He was a quiet man who would do anything to help someone out.
Mr. Holley departed this life on January 30, 2024 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 10 Months, 27 Days. He is survived by two daughters, Cindy Sharrett and husband David of Selmer, TN, Christy Monroe and husband Billy of Adamsville, TN; four grandchildren, Kelsey Duft of Jonesboro, AR, Victoria Monroe of Adamsville, TN, Brandon Duft and wife Krupa of Jonesboro, AR, Chris Duft of Jonesboro, AR; and other great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Holley was preceded in death by a son, William Emmett (Jabo) Holley; two brothers, JC and Robert Holley; a sister, Kathryn King.
