Emma Nanette (Nan) WadeEmma Nanette (Nan) Wade passed away on March 30, 2023. Those who knew her well know that she talked loudly, gave freely, and loved big.

Nan was born on March 27, 1960, to Walker Douglas Hunt and Helen Lorene Hunt. She was the youngest of ten children and twin sister to Julia Annette (Ann) Hunt Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and five of her siblings: Jerry Hunt, Dennis Hunt, Patricia Dickey, Brenda Richardson, and Judy Crunk. She is survived by two brothers, Joe Hunt and Michael Hunt; two sisters, Ann Davis and Barbara Gonzalez; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Nan’s greatest love was her family. She married Michael Lynn Wade and had four daughters Nikki VanDyke (TJ), Brooke Davis (Cory), Krissy DeVito (Thomas), and Sarah Wade. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren that she loved dearly and who were proud to call her Nana: Emmalynn VanDyke, Ellie VanDyke, Cecelia VanDyke, Josie VanDyke, Walker Myrick, Willis Myrick, Jolie Myrick, Cooper Myrick, Bryant Myrick, Juliana DeVito, Alexander DeVito, Baylor DeVito, Greyson DeVito, and Bentley Wade.

Although they are grieving, her family finds comfort in knowing that she was reunited in eternity with her precious grandsons Willis and Greyson. They have chosen to remember Nan in a way that honors her life full of love and service to others. A balloon release and prayer service will be held Sunday, April 9 at 4:30 PM at theAtlas  Church of Christ. A fellowship meal will follow where friends and family can gather to share stories and honor her memory.
