Emma Louise Wilkinson Stephenson, 86, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Aug. 21 ,2012.
Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Tuscumbia Church of Christ, with services to begin at 1:00 p.m. in the church. Burial will follow at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Officiating is Jeff Abrams and Bob Plunkett.
She was preceded in death by her husband James F. Stephenson; parents Reuben
“Pop” and Velma Moates Wilkinson; sisters, Ruby Lowe and Evelyn Whitley; brothers, Bill and Bob Wilkinson.
Survivors include daughters, Jackie S. Mitchell (David) and Nancy S. Gooch;
Grandsons, David Mitchell Jr. and James L. Mitchell (Amy); two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Travis Stephenson, Robin Stephenson, Blake Stephenson, Lesley Mitchell, David Moore, Greg Witt, Lee McIntyre and Brian Wilkinson.
Mrs. Emma worked at the office of Research and Patents during WWII in Washington D.C.
She was a member of Tucumbia Church of Christ and worked as the secretary at the church for nine years and as manager of Tuscumbia Church of Christ Food Bank.
