Emma Louise Sain – Obituary

Mrs. Emma Louise Sain, age 82 of Bolivar, Tennessee, departed this life Monday morning, May 4, 2015 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

A lifelong resident of Hardeman County, Mrs. Sain was born in Vildo, Tennessee to the late Samuel W. and Hester Avent on March 29, 1933. On December 27, 1952, she was united in marriage to Mr. Jack Sain, who preceded her in death September 14, 1997. She worked for over 50 years at Bolivar Insurance and Realty in Bolivar, Tennessee, and was a former owner. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Bolivar, where she used to keep the nursery. Some of her favorite pastimes included working with flowers and gardening, cooking, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

Survivors include her sons, Tommy Sain and wife Amy, Bobby Sain and wife DaJuan, Jimmy Sain and wife Kim, and Jackie Sain and wife Deana, all of Bolivar; sisters, Margaret Vincent of Nashville, and Bernice Sandy of Corinth, Mississippi; brothers, Jim Avent and wife Nadine of Whiteville, and Ben Avent and wife Beatrice of Michie; grandchildren, Blake Sain and wife Melessa, Chase Sain, Shelby Sain, Ashley Sain, Allison Housholder and husband John, Will Sain, Jon Sain, Brock Sain and wife Elizabeth, and Clint Sain; and great-granddaughter, Livvy Blake Sain.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Phenton Avent, Wade Avent and Frank Avent.
