Emma Lou Ingram Ashworth Profile Photo It is with heavy hearts and precious memories that we announce the passing of Emma Lou Ingram Ashworth, age 90.
Lou was born on March 8, 1934 in Oneonta, Alabama to parents Russell (d.) and Lera (d.) Haynes Ingram. She had no siblings. Emma Lou’s childhood was spent in Gadsden, Alabama. In 1957, she married Osceola C. Ashworth, Jr. (d.). They settled in Huntsville, Alabama. She participated in Reserve Officers Ladies Auxiliary, Reunion Planning activities, and she was a valuable employee of two local real estate offices. Lou enjoyed music and followed Alabama football. She was a 65 year member of University Baptist Church. Strong in her faith, Lou was passionate about her family.
Lou is survived by her daughters Letetia (Steve) Kestler and Melinda (Everette) Parrish; grandsons Brandon (Morgan) Kestler, Russell (Katie) Parrish, and Shawn Kestler; two great-granddaughters Avery Rose Kestler and Annaliese Marie Kestler.
Services for Lou will be held on May 23, 2024 at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home 16 Hughes Rd, Madison, Alabama 35758. The family will receive visitors at Legacy at 10:00 A.M. The service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Lou’s final resting place will be Crestwood Cemetery 2209 E Broad St, Gadsden, Alabama 35903 that afternoon at 3:00 P.M.
The family would like to acknowledge outstanding caregivers Michelle, Kelly, Hayley, Gloria, and others.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care, The Gideon Bible Mission, or your personal favorite charity.
