Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Jean Lambert, age 86, of Ashland will be held Thursday, February 23, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. EST at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland. Bro. Travis Mitchell and Bro. Claude Bennett will officiate and burial will follow at Ashland City Cemetery.

Mrs. Lambert was born in Talladega and lived in this area all of her life. She loved her family, music and singing. She would often spend a portion of her day listening to Jimmy Swaggart. Swap Shop on 100.7 was also a favorite. Mother loved quilting and enjoyed selling produce with her husband. She was famous for her chocolate cakes and loved caring for her flowers and had the most beautiful yard.

She is survived by five daughters: Diane Hurst(Jerry), Brenda Koch(Joe), Sherry Odom(Jeff), Carol Snow(Forest) and Charlene Cotton(Andy); two sons: Ray Lambert(Monette) and Ralph “Junior” Lambert(Kim); three sisters: Patsy Wilt, Erlene Moore and Louise Mitchell; brother, Franklin Mitchell(Becky); 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren, several other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded by her husband of 68 years, Thurman Ralph Lambert; parents Frank and Minnie Mitchell; children, Kenneth Lambert and Jimmy Lambert; siblings, Leeann Stewart, Ruby Moon, Leon Mitchell, Hollis Mitchell and Billy Mitchell; grand-daughter, Abby Hunter, and great-grand-daughters Lucy Hunter and Elizabeth Cruise Hurst.

Pallbearers are Jay Lambert, Jed Cotton, Michael Lambert, Joseph Koch, Jeremy Hurst, Nathanial Beasley and Kirby McCollough. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Lambert and the Staff at Lineville Health and Rehab.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 5:30 until 8:00 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland.
