Emma Franks Stricklin was born on June 19, 1937 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Neal McGinley and Ada Melson Franks.
On April 20, 1957, she was united in marriage to G.W. Stricklin, who preceded his wife in death on November 26, 1994.
Emma was a housewife and helped her husband on the farm. She enjoyed working in her flowers, sewing, cooking, reading, and talking to friends and family. She attended Abrams Chapel United Methodist Church over the years until her health declined.
Emma Franks Stricklin departed this life on June 4, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 16 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Ginger Elaine Stricklin of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and husband, Emma was preceded in death by her son, Faron Malone Stricklin; sisters, Jewel Wilkerson, Etta Sherrill, Edith Holt, Carolyn Franks, Katherine Johnson, Margaret Franks, and Mae Sherrill; and brothers, Oscar Franks, Arthur Franks, and James Franks.
