Emily Nell Deaton, 83, of Owens Cross Roads passed away on January 2, 2022.
Lifelong resident of Big Cove and the youngest of eight children born to William Lucien and Mary Frances Drake Miller.
Survivors include her sons, Timothy Deaton, Steve Deaton, Kevin Deaton, Phillip Deaton and Richard Deaton; daughter Frances Deaton; sister, Lenora Ann Miller Sublett; sisters-in-law Dorothy Miller and Dee Miller; grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers, William Lucien Miller Jr., Rodney Adolph Miller and Kenneth LeRoy Miller; and sisters, Gwendolyn Elizabeth Miller, Sophie Miller Brooks, and Shirley Glynn Miller Harper; and grandchildren; nephew, Brian Harper.
No services are planned at this time. Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
