Emily Judge, age 65 of Hazel Green, Alabama, peacefully left this life on November 21, 2023, after a long illness. She was born on October 8, 1958, to Robert and Cordie (Moorehead) Mitchell. Emily was married for forty-six years to Carl Judge, the love of her life. She was a lifelong member of Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church. She raised two children who knew every day that she loved them. Emily enjoyed cross stitch, sewing, and going to church. She found immense joy in taking and displaying photos of her family. She was a loving and involved grandmother who showered her grandchildren with hugs, gifts, and attention. Most importantly, she fulfilled her life’s goal: to be an exceptional wife, mother, and grandmother. She was liked and loved by all who knew her. She was selfless, generous, and kind. She will be missed. Emily was preceded in death by her father, Robert Mitchell; and sister, Betty Stephens. She is survived by her husband, Carl Judge; son, Adam (Juliana); daughter, Karen (Andy) Kennedy; beloved dog, Holly Mae; mother, Cordie Mitchell; brother, Byron (Cynthia) Mitchell; sister, Ruth (Wayne) Wright; and grandchildren, Jaxom, Imriel, Liam, Liadan, Gatlin, and Linus Kennedy. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 25, 2023, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Awalt officiating.
