Emily Gannaway Kitchens Keith, age 82, passed away on Thursday September 12, 2024. She was born in Chattanooga Tennessee to the late Emma Hart Cather and J.B. Gannaway. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Daniel Z. Kitchens.
A devoted Methodist minister’s wife, she would have piano students at the various churches where they were called upon to serve. She was always a dear and loving person who was much appreciated by her friends and family. A Christian woman, she loved to read her bible and knit.
Mrs. Keith is survived by her husband, Dr. W. Andrew Keith, whom she married on November 18, 2012; children, Joel Daniel Kitchens (Pixey) and John David Kitchens; sister, Martha Umphrey; and her longtime best friend, Betty Gunn.
Her last two years she enjoyed the fellowship at Fair Haven Retirement Community. Special thank you to Southeast Hospice and nurse Amber and to her at home sitter Jeanne.
We are very thankful for the life that she lived and the sweet memories she created will last a lifetime.
