Emery Hubert “Pete” Ivey, 76, of Decatur, passed away on Aug. 11, 2016.
Pete is survived by his wife, Joyce of 56 years; daughters, Lila (Sonny) Johnson, Lora Nipper, Lisa (Sam) Dunn, and Lawana Johnson; brothers, Kermit and JC Ivey; grandchildren, Jennifer and Matthew Johnson, Bobby Nipper and Evan Barnett, Stevi Dunn, Madeline (Caleb) Brooks, Mac, Malone, and Harley Johnson; great-grandchildren, Jayda and Baylee Patterson, and Bryar Brooks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Rosie Ivey; sisters, Nell Whaley and Opal Hart; and brothers, Hubert, James, and Alton Ivey.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
A Celebration of Life will be Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. A time of visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
