Emertha “Mert” Belle Angus, 87, of Russellville, AL passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Visitation will be Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1-2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with a service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Jeffreys and Georgia Portwood; son, Frank Angus; brothers, Coy Jeffreys, Lorn Jeffreys, and Kenny Jeffreys; sister, Connie Scott; grandson, Michael Angus; and special friend, Ron Snarski.
She is survived by her son, Dean Angus; daughter, Diane Hamilton (Robert Nichols); sisters, Charlotte Moon and Pam Green; grandchildren, Leo Angus, Aimee Hamilton, Amanda Hamilton, Jeremiah Jansen, Matthew King, Billie Jansen, Jodie Boyles, and Ryan Angus; numerous great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brayden Bobo, Ayden Presley, Carlos Smith, Jonas Boyles, Richard Price, and Chase Riley.
