Obituary of Elsie Helene Johnson LambertElsie Helene Johnson Lambert, 86, of Booneville, MS, went to her heavenly home on December 7th at her residence. She was a faithful member of the Church of God. Elsie was born on July 5, 1937, in Tishomingo County, the daughter of Marshall L. and Nellie Gray Johnson. She married Marvin Claude “MC” Lambert on October 24, 1953. Elsie was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed quilting for her children and grandchildren. She was an exceptional cook and loved having her family over to visit. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling the world with her husband.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Northeast Mississippi Church of God in Christ with Bro. Donald Roseberry and Bro. Curtis Featherston officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 8, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at McMillian Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Church of God Cemetery.

The pallbearers will be Justin Lambert, Jared Lambert, Misty Norris, Jake Waldrop, Cole James, Avery Wimberly, and Marty Lambert.

She is survived by her children, Jim Lambert (Teresa) of Booneville, Joane Norris (Rickey) of Booneville, John Lambert (Rebecca) of Glen, and Jeff Lambert (Benjamin) of Guntown; her grandchildren, Melinda Watson, Justin Lambert, Misty Norris (April), Jared Lambert (Amelia), Jake Waldrop, and Josie Belle Lambert; her great-grandchildren, Chelsea Wimberly (Keifer), Hannah Wood (Andrew), Cole James, Link Norris, and Josiah Lambert; and her great-great-grandchildren, Avery, Adleigh Blake, and Ava Wimberly, and Kai and Ivy Jane Wood; her brothers-in-law, Jimmy Smith, Larry Lambert (Jackie), and Roy Lambert (Freida); her sister-in-law, Bonita McVey; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Charlene Bullard, Vanessa Hodges, Anita Cox, and Daphene Downs.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Marvin Claude “MC” Lambert; her parents; and her siblings, James Johnson, Beatrice Adcock, Lorine Adcock, Louise Johnson, Lee Johnson, Rufus Johnson, Alvie Johnson, and Pearlie Smith.
