Elouise “Ellie” Koenemann – Obituary

Mrs. Elouise "Ellie" Koenemann Elouise “Ellie” Koenemann, born August 10th 1947 of Maricopa County, AZ and Lake County, IN was called home on March 28th 2019 after enduring nearly 15 years with COPD.

She was a kind and loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a generous soul who loved animals, family get togethers, motorcycle rides, road trips, creating new and imaginative ways to use household items, was a lover of books, music, and crossword puzzles. Ellie held many job titles in her lifetime, some including Go-Go Dancer, Bartender, and Production Line Worker for Dawn Frozen Foods. Ellie was a longtime resident of “The Region” and was associated with the Illiana Lucky Wheels Motorcycle Club.

Ellie is survived by her mother, Dorothy; three daughters: Lisa, Gina (Michael), Tira; four grandchildren: Danielle (Luis), Mackenzie, David, Nicole; three great grandchildren, Xavien, Aurora, Brinley; and nine siblings. She was preceded in death by her father, Hooper; brother, Michael; brother, Dale, and sister, Brenda.

Services will be held Saturday, April 6th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home in Scottsboro, Alabama. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Foundation for Blind Children at seeitourway.org or make a donation to the animal rescue of your choice in Elouise’s name.
