Funeral services for Eloise H. Long, 77, of Hartselle will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 4 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Hal Daigre officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to service.
Mrs. Long died Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Decatur Morgan Main Hospital. Mrs. Long was born October 27, 1937, in Alabama to Earnest and Fannie Estelle Holbert. She retired from the U.S. Post Office and was a member of the First Independent Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Lyle Long; brothers, Earnest Holbert Jr., Sidney Holbert and William Holbert; sisters, Ellen Jones and Ruth Barnett.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, H.C. Long; sons, Lance (Donna) Long and Lyn (Carrie) Long; brothers, Redding Holbert and Arthur “Buck” Holbert; sisters, Pearl Carpenter, Louise Heaps and Fannie Kirby; and grandsons, Cody Long, Brandon Long, Riley Long and Evan Long.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
