Elmer Louis McFall, age 82, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at his residence.
Elmer was born on Tuesday, April 28, 1942, to Pierce Mark McFall and Bessie Darby Waymon in Florence, Alabama as the youngest of 11 children. He worked as a carpenter millwright all across the country and then enjoyed farming.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pierce Mark McFall & Bessie (Darby) Waymon; and ten brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Sandra (Duff) McFall; children, Joan E. Stringer (Randy Ladner), Elmer McFall Jr. (Marty), Ben McFall (Jennifer); 8 grandchildren, Sandra Jollen Irwin, James Dudley Irwin (Lacey), Brittany Elaine Summerhill (Courtney), Samantha Lyn Townsend, Megan McFall, Abbie McFall, Wyatt McFall, Connor McFall; 13 great-grandchildren, Matthew Plaisance, Hannah Irwin, Cooper Irwin, Paxton Irwin, Tavius Evans, Christopher Summerhill, Catalyna Summerhill, Steven Campbell, Samson Campbell, Myla Townsend, Colton Townsend, William McFall, Rose McFall and a host of nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 19, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel. He will be buried at Pleasant Hill Church, 2705 Cty Rd 222, Central Community in Florence.
