We mourn the loss of Elmer Lloyd Burroughs, Jr., Age 69, who departed this world on November26 of this
year. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Elmer Sr., his mother Juanita, his stepfather
WT, his brother Wesley, and his brother-in-law Linwood. He is survived by his wife Martha, granddaughter
Aubrey, His sister Linda, His sister Patsy, His sister Charlotte and husband Walter, His sister Lisa and
husband George, many nieces and nephews, family and friends including is longtime canine companion,
Milo.
Elmer possessed a remarkable work ethic. Working as a truck driver with his uncles for 25 years and then
for Estes for 21 years until his retirement. He approached every task with integrity, determination, and
unparalleled commitment to excellence.
He served his country during the Vietnam war in the United States Navy continuing to demonstrate is
unwavering commitment to service and his family values.
Outside of his responsibilities he enjoyed the tranquility of nature, finding solace in every moment. He
was also an avid musician and found a great love playing guitar with his brother Wesley.
Throughout his life, LLoyd displayed his unwavering devotion to his family. He was a pillar of strength and
a constant source of support and encouragement for his loved ones. His unconditional love and guidance
will forever be remembered as pillars upon which his family built their lives.
The void left by Lloyds Departure is unmeasurable, yet we find solace in the memories he left behind. He
will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of
knowing him.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday December 9th at 2pm at Walnut Grove Cemetary, Ripley,
Tennessee officiated by his nephew Ronnie Guyton in coordination with Garner Funeral Home. Please
