Elmer Edwin McNabb – Obituary

elmer-mcnabb-1478178333Elmer Edwin McNabb passed away at his residence on Wednesday, November 2.

He was born on May 11, 1946, to Clarence and Allie Henson McNabb. He was a “jack of all trades” including plumbing and electrical work. He had served in the United States Army.

Funeral services for Elmer will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Mark McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until time of the service at the funeral home.

Survivors include his son, Albert McNabb; granddaughter, Brittany McNabb; brothers, Thomas (Cathy) McNabb, Freddie (Maggie) McNabb, Carl (Donna) McNabb, and Joe (Mary Jane) McNabb; sisters, Ann (Grover) Chapman, Peggy (Wayne) McNabb, and Stella (Ray) Runions. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews that he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Clarence and Allie McNabb, brother, Billy McNabb, sister, Ruth McNabb, brother-in-law, Wayne McNabb, nephew, Robert ’Dwayne McNabb and several aunts and uncles including a special uncle George Henson. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Linda Floccari.

The family would like to thank his niece, Jessica Reeves and her husband, Pete, for taking care of him when he needed them the most and opening their home to him.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Lituanus, Jerry Osborne, David McNabb, Josh Vaughn, Jason Vaughn and Pete Reeves. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces an nephews, great nieces and nephews, family and friends, and James A. “Sonny” Runions, his best friend.
