Ellis Wayne “Boomer” Stapler, 83, of New Hope, passed away Monday.
He was preceded in death by father, Albert David Stapler; mother, Bertie Christine Cloud Stapler; wife, Shirley Stapler; children, Derryl Wayne Stapler, Danielle Morrison, Jeffrey Johnson and Teresa Dozier; and siblings, James Howard Stapler, Janice Largen, Odell Stapler and Jewel Stapler.
Surviving are children, Sheila Stapler, David Nelson, Debra Nowak, Lisa Ann Stapler, Cheryl Cothran and JoAnn Smithson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Joel (Alice) Stapler; sister, Kathy (Johnny) Hill; special friend, Charlotte Davis; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Service will follow at 4:00 PM with Dennis Martin officiating.
