Ellen Jean Sanders Matthews 76 of Boaz passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Shepherds Cove Hospice.
Her Funeral Service will be 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. David Martin will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Tyler King, Ryan King, Matthew Smith, Jacob Smith, Ryan Williamson, Wesley Parris, Honorary Pallbearers will be Sam Parris, Tanner King, Carson King.
Visitation will be 2:30 until 5 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Mrs. Matthews is survived by her Husband; Mike Matthews, Daughters; Jennifer Williamson (Brian), Jill Gaskin (Richard), Grandchildren; Meagan Poore, Tyler King (Maegan), Ryan King (Catherine), Matthew Smith (Hannah), Jacob Smith (Madison Anderson), Christina Parris (Wesley), Ryan Williamson (Haley Sanders), 4 Great Grandchildren, Brothers; Jeff Sanders (Susan), Dan Sanders (Sheila). She is preceded in death by her Parents; L.D. and Irene Sanders, Great Grandchildren; Emma Gail Schmale and Benjamin Zackary Schmale.
