Ellen Elaine Segars, Belmont, Miss., died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at her residence.
She was born in Belmont to Lolan Fletcher and Audrey Beatrice Allen Credille. She was the secretary and bookkeeper at Red Bay School for many years and was a member of Old Path Baptist Church.
Services were Sunday, Dec, 23, at Old Path Baptist Church, Belmont, Miss., with Brother Clatus NeSmith, Brother Keith Hood and Brother Dewayne Wells officiating. Burial was in Old Path Cemetery, Belmont, Miss. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Miss., was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are her husband of 56 years, Dr. James Segars; two children, Reggie Segars (Debbie), of Belmont, and Donna Hester (Alton), of Vina; five grandchildren, Russ Hester, Kacey Johnston (Hugh), Barry Segars, Ashley Bostick (Josh) and Mandi Petty (Brandon); three great-grandchildren, Cayson and Talon Johnston and Britton Bostick; one brother, Stanley Credille (Linda), of Plantersville, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Joe Chumbley, Andy Chumbley, Mark Chumbley, Hugh Johnston, Brandon Petty and Josh Bostick.
