Ellen Anne Phelps Stover of Morris Chapel, Tennessee Ellen Anne Phelps Stover

Was born in San Francisco, California on January 11, 1945 to Frederick Phelps and Lucille Rock Phelps. She loved to run the streets of San Francisco as a child with her many siblings and often reminisced about her times there.

Ellen departed to her Heavenly home on August 20, 2022 in Adamsville, Tennessee. She was 77 years, 7 months and 9 days old.

Ellen was loved by all of her family and friends. She always put others ahead of herself. She found joy in seemingly everything. Her laughter was contagious. She loved to play Yahtzee, Bingo and Canasta. She is very well known for her baking. She loved to make banana nut bread, zucchini nut bread, and her famous Christmas Cookies (with all the shapes and decorations). She lived life to fullest, always willing to try something new, no matter her age, like driving her son’s four wheeler. She loved to sing, dance and rejoice in her love for God.

Ellen is survived by daughters, Anna Marie Gipson of Geyserville, California. Cherry Lee Gipson of Morris Chapel, Tennessee and son, Michael John Niukkanen USMC and wife Leslie of Morris Chapel, Tennessee.

Ellen’s pride and joys were her beautiful grandchildren:
Jake Gipson and wife Sarah of Santa Rosa, California;
Samatha Oertel and husband Bobby of Santa Rosa, California; Daniel McMaster Of Santa Rosa, California; Ashley Houser and husband Thomas of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; Ryan Burlesci of Savannah, Tennessee; Cassidy Burlesci- Niukkanen of Memphis, Tennessee; Carson Niukkanen of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; great-grandchildren Tommy Gipson of Santa Rosa, California; LilyBella Oertel of Santa Rosa, California.

Ellen is survived by a sister Melody Phelps-Blagg of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one brother Lewis Phelps of Lewis, Texas;

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Earl Gipson JR; sisters, Connie Carlson and husband Gean; Nellie Moore; brothers, Robert Phelps US Army; Frank Phelps; Donald Phelps USMC;

She also had a deep connection to her many cousins, nephews, nieces and often brought the family together throughout the years.

Her family will carry her memory in their laughter and rejoice.

Memorial Services for Ellen Stover will be
Saturday August 27, 2022

Visitation starts @ 10:00-11:00 am
Memorial Service @ 11:00 am (also Facebook live)
Lunch to follow after the service.

Ellen’s wish was for her body to be donated for medical science research.
