Virginia BlaylockElla Virginia Blaylock, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She was born August 27, 1941, in Itawamba County, to Aaron Kirk and Vadis Elizabeth Stacy Franks. She was a lifelong member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and in her later years attended Mantachie First Baptist Church. She was retired from North Mississippi Medical Center where she worked in food and nutrition. She enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends, quilting, sewing, and her flowers.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 10, at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Mantachie with Bro. Rodney Lindsey and Bro. Blake Buchanan officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one son, Terry Lee Blaylock (Debra) of Marietta; one daughter, Melissa “Missy” Lamb (Junior) of Mantachie; three grandchildren, Jessica Inghram (David), Terry Lee “T.J.” Blaylock, Jr., and Courtney Lamb (fiancé Bubba Harrison); four great grandchildren, Jaiden Suggs, Kaylee Inghram, Rylee Blaylock, and Will Inghram.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Blaylock; two brothers, Junior Franks and Jimmy Franks; two sisters, Helen Leathers and Martha White; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be T.J. Blaylock, Jr., David Inghram, Bubba Harrison, Mitch Franks, Stacey Franks, Perry White, Barry White, John Franks, and Michael Dill.

Visitation will be Sunday from noon until service time at the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
