Ella Mae Gosa, age 95, of Sulligent, AL passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory, MS. Funeral arrangements will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 2pm, from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Bro. Edward Puckett and Bro. Brian Richardson to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, from 12:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm.

Ella Mae Gosa was born on May 19, 1927 in Lamar County, Alabama, to the late Samuel Jackson Merchant and the late Rosie Williams Merchant. She was a lifelong resident of Lamar County. Ella Mae had previously worked in the manufacturing industry. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Sulligent First Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, spending time with her family and watching westerns, especially Gunsmoke. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
