Mrs. Ella Faye Hulsey Foster, 74, of Huntsville passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022, after an extended illness. Faye was a 1966 graduate of Rockmart High School in Rockmart, GA and attended community college and cosmetology school. She worked as a beautician, then as a bookkeeper at Georgia Tech, WT Grant, and Aetna Insurance. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years, then returned to the workplace at Walmart in the Fabrics and Crafts department, until her retirement in 2010. Faye was a longtime member of Hillwood Baptist Church and loved working with preschoolers and children. She enjoyed sewing and crafting.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Minnie Lou Hulsey; brothers, Lynn Hulsey and Darrell Hulsey; and sisters, Jane Brown and Jean Sisson. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Carlton Foster; daughters, Pati Sims (Jeremy) of Lacey’s Spring, Dari Boley (Kenny) of Huntsville; grandchildren, Foster Sims, Connor Sims, Leah Sims, and Ella Kate Boley; and brothers, J.C. Hulsey and Jimmy Hulsey.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 8, at Hillwood Baptist Church. The funeral will be at 12 noon Friday at the church with the Rev. Robert Fullerton officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
