Elizabeth Rainey Chapman Profile Photo Elizabeth “Scooter” Fishburn Rainey Chapman, 92, longtime resident of Pulaski and Lewisburg, died Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at The Gardens of Poplar Estates Senior Living in Columbia.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, August 2, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Beechwood Cemetery in Cornersville.  Memorials may be made to Beechwood Cemetery Association c/o Judy Stewart 206 Frontview Avenue, Cornersville, TN 37047.

Elizabeth was born on April 8, 1932 in Davidson County, Tennessee to the late John Willam Robert Fishburn, Sr. and the late Viola Marshall Fishburn. She was reared in Cornersville, TN, where she attended school. Her interests included church, crocheting, reading and watching western movies. She worked for many years for Genesco and Frito-Lay in Pulaski and was a member of Parkview Baptist Church in Lewisburg.

Survivors include her daughters, Eileen Rainey Kratzberg (Craig) of Canyon Country, CA, Carolyn Rainey Magnusson (Jimmy) of Ardmore, AL; two daughters by marriage, Cheri Chapman Young and Judy Chapman Musgrave (Dwayne Robinson) both of Chapel Hill; nine grandchildren, Joan Bradford McElroy, Shane Bradford, Barry (Trina) Worsham, Chance Kratzberg, Carson Kratzberg, Frank (Nichole) Musgrave, Davis (Amanda) Musgrave, T.J. (Kasondra) Young, and Andy Young; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Davis Chapman; grandson, Layne Worsham; great grandson, Corey Marshall; her siblings, Juanita Wheeler Price, Irene Janke, Marjorie Hammock, Gaye “Tinky” Cleveland, Fred Fishburn, and J.W. Fishburn, Jr.; the father of her daughters, Elmer Rainey.

Pallbearers will be her family. The family would like to express a great gratitude to the staff at The Gardens of Poplar Estates Senior Living.
