Funeral services for Elizabeth Ruth Jordan, 91, of Corinth are set for Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST with interment in Henry Cemetery. Minister Lennis Nowell will officiate the service. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31, 2024 , from 12pm-2pm at Magnolia Funeral Home – EAST. Pallbearers will be Josh Wilburn, Free Wilburn, Reed Wilburn and Tim Maynard. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Huff, Jerreme Wilburn and Wesley Wilburn. Elizabeth was born December 30, 1932, in Alcorn County, MS to Eddie and Mary Huff and she passed from this life on Friday, July 26, 2024, at McNairy Care in Selmer, TN. She was the 8th of 9 children. Elizabeth was married to Hubert Jordan for 48 years, She worked in retail for many years and retired as a bookkeeper. A member of the Church of Christ faith, she attended Northside Church of Christ. Elizabeth enjoyed teaching a Sunday School class, working in crafts, playing board games with her grandsons and playing cards with her sisters and friends. Later in life, she loved to travel with her sisters until they were unable to travel. Elizabeth believed in healing with cooking and loved to cook large meals for her family and kin that was traveling through Corinth. She believed potato soup could cure anything. She was a proud graduate of Farmington High School 1952. Along with her sister, Kathleen, they organized the school reunion for 20 years. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Stella Wilburn and husband Steve; 3 grandsons, Jerreme Wilburn (Leigh) of Oregon, Josh Wilburn (Tami) of Tennessee and Wesley Wilburn of Washington State; great-grandchildren, Free Wilburn, Lily Wilburn, Reed Wilburn and Tara Wilburn; great – great grandchild, Alden Dixon; her nephew / brother, Bill Huff of Corinth; other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Mary Huff; first husband, Wesley A. Grisham; second husband Hubert Jordan; brothers, Curtis Huff (Louise), Eldred Huff (Dean), Roscoe Huff (Katherine), and Perry Huff ; sisters, Margaret Smith (Cleve), Edna Campbell (James), Kathleen Elam (Charles), Wanda Harp (Freddie) and her sister-in-law, Rachel Huff. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Elizabeth Ruth Jordan.
