Elizabeth McKinney passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, at her home in Pontotoc, MS. She was born in Matoon, IL to John Connors and Judith Deweese Connors, but was raised in Worcester, MA where she stayed until 1984. Elizabeth loved to travel and did so until she found her home in Pontotoc, MS in the mid 1990’s where she stayed until her death. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. Elizabeth was always up for a road trip with her friends and took joy in laughing and being a good friend. She was also an avid New England Patriot fan and never passed up a chance to yell at the TV coaching them from her home.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Curtis McKinney. Two daughters Aimee (Richard) Floyd of Pontotoc, MS and Terra (Bryan) Branom of Commerce, TX. Five grandchildren: Gillian Floyd, Weston Shamburger, Brandon Branom, Allison Floyd and Briseis Branom. She was also recently blessed with her first great grandchild, Kohen Cage. One brother, Tim Connors of Massachusetts.
She is preceded in death by her parents John Connors and Judith Reidy along with her stepfather Gary Reidy.
The family has elected to have visitation at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc on Sunday, June 30th from 3-5pm, no graveside services will follow.
