Elizabeth Mary “Lisa” Compton Sallo was born April 14, 1965 to Alan Lincoln Compton and Mary Joyce Compton in Huntsville, Alabama. Lisa spent her growing up years in Huntsville and attended Jones Valley, Whitesburg Middle and graduated from Huntsville High School in 1983.
In 1987, Lisa earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Samford University in Paralegal Studies and Business. Following her graduation, she worked for a large corporate law firm in Birmingham. Lisa made the decision to pursue a Master’s degree in Management, with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems from The University of Alabama, Huntsville. In 1991, upon completion of her M.S. Degree, Lisa accepted a position with C.A.S. Incorporated, a Huntsville based defense contractor. Recently she had been employed by KBR/Wylie Corporation and served as the Air and Missile Defense Systems Product Support Manager.
Lisa had a very special attraction to everyone she met, to know her was to love her. Recently Lisa had been hospitalized with an undiagnosed infection and several other major health issues which took her earthly life on September 8, 2020. She is survived by her loving husband, David Lee Sallo; her mother, Mary Joyce Compton; two brothers, Greg Compton and Jeff Compton and wife, Pam; five nieces and nephews, Lincoln, Libby and Matthew Compton and Sarah Esslinger Brown and Lee Thompson; mother-in-law, Millie Sallo, and sister-in-law, Rebecca Sallo Thompson and husband, Wade Thompson, all of Huntsville, Alabama. Lisa was proceeded in death by her father, Alan Lincoln Compton.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2020 at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Reverend Eric Kohler officiating. Seating is limited to 200 and facial coverings are required.
